Fashion Designer - Founder of NOTTODAY
My name is Maayan Galilee. I'm a fashion designer based in Netanya, Israel. I work alone - every piece I make is designed, cut, sewn, and finished by my own hands.
My design language is patchwork, leatherwork, studs, and zippers. I work with leather, denim, satin, tailoring fabrics - and often with materials that have already lived one life: vintage jeans, surplus hardware, thrift-store finds. But that's not a rule. It's an instinct. I go where the project takes me.
NOTTODAY is an independent fashion label I founded. The name is a daily refusal. Not today will doubt stop the work. Not today will convention dictate what a garment should look like. It's both a shield and a promise.
The label works across ready-to-wear collections, editorial collaborations, music video costumes, and stage wardrobe for touring artists. Every piece is hand-crafted. Every garment is made alone.
I graduated from the Fashion Design Department at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art (B.Des Fashion Design, 2025). During my studies, I lost my mother, Chani. My graduation collection - "I Love You Mom" - was built from her own clothes. That project taught me something I already knew but couldn't yet articulate: materials carry memory. A garment can hold more than a body.
The "Sustainability - Emo Kids" upcycled collection won the Dizengoff Centre sustainable fashion competition and was featured on the cover of Yediot Aharonot's fashion supplement. It was shown at Fashion Week 2021.
The "Red Leather" graduation collection was shortlisted for the 2025 RLSD (Real Leather. Stay Different.) international design competition.
The "Menswear - Basquiat" collection was shown at Israeli Fashion Week 2020.
Since graduating, my work has focused on custom pieces for stage performances, musicians, and fashion editorials. I designed two custom stage looks for the ALIVE tour by Static and Liraz (2025), built to withstand nightly two-hour performances. The "Red Leather" ensemble and "Rockstar Denim" jacket were both featured in Nasrin Kadri's music video "Lo Lifnot Elay."
My vision now is to take this same approach - the hand-built, the personal, the raw - and translate it into a more wearable wardrobe. Leather jackets, denim trench coats, T-shirts infused with a rebellious spirit. An everyday rockstar aesthetic that brings the boldness of the stage into daily life.
